The Front Porch is proud to present ''The Crisis in Music: Austin Edition" with Ted Gioia and Mayor Steve Adler.''
Ted Gioia, Music Historian
NOTE: We are at capacity now. While there is the chance that a few people might get in at the door, we can no longer promise a spot to anyone who hasn't already RSVP'd. If you don't want to risk coming down without a guaranteed spot, we urge you to join us online: we'll be streaming the event as it happens on Facebook Live on our page. If you can't make it for that, then wait a few days: KUT's Views and Brews will be podcasting the happenings, and we'll have a separate video made for YouTube as well. So many chances to watch and learn from Ted and our incredible panel!
The evening kicks off with a keynote presentation by noted author and music historian Ted Gioia. Mayor Steve Adler and other vital stakeholders in the Austin music industry will then explore how to save Austin's soul through its music in a panel moderated by NPR’s John Burnett.
